Shimla: The Government of Himachal Pradesh has been recognized by the school union ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for its outstanding achievement in citizen- centric digital service delivery. The Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DDT&G)Himachal Pradesh has successfully integrated 51 HIMSeva (eDistrict Services) along with HIMParivar and HimAccess Card on the DigiLocker platform, marking a major milestone in the State’s digital transformation journey.
In recognition of this achievement, Department of Digital Technologies and Governance, was conferred the prestigious “People First Integration Award” at the National Workshop and Conference on DigiLocker 2025 held in New Delhi on 4th November 2025.
The award was presented to Ashish Singhmar, Secretary, DDTG, GoHP by the Secretary, MeitY, Government of India, in the presence of the Additional Secretary/Director General, NIC (MeitY) and the CEO, National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
This achievement aligns with the vision of the Thakur Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu under the HimParivar and HimAccess Projects, aimed at creating a unified digital ecosystem to ensure transparent, efficient, and inclusive service delivery for every citizen.
Principal Advisor (IT & Innovation) to the Chief Minister Gokul Butail congratulated the Department and stated that this milestone reflects the State Government’s strong commitment to driving digital inclusion and citizen empowerment through innovation and technology.
Highlighting the achievement Dr Nipun Jindal, Director, DDT&G, stated that the department has worked in mission mode to integrate 53 types of citizen certificates and documents on the DigiLocker platform. These include HimParivar, HimAccess Cards, Bonafide Himachali Certificate, Copy of Parivar Register, Domicile Certificate, Income Certificate, Character Certificate and various services delivered through the HIMSeva (eDistrict) portal.
The integration ensures seamless, efficient, and transparent access to government services by minimizing documentation and providing a secure, unified digital ecosystem for citizens. This national recognition reaffirms Himachal Pradesh’s leadership in digital governance and its commitment to leveraging technology for faster, simpler, and more inclusive and citizen-first service delivery.
