Shimla: Governor Kavinder Gupta today performed the Bhoomi Pujan for Parmarth Eco Village at Manei (Bhadrela) in Kangra district. He said that the initiative is an important step towards environmental conservation and human service.

On the occasion, the Governor said that the project should be developed as a centre of learning and inspiration where students, farmers, researchers, youth, entrepreneurs and community groups could understand and adopt nature-friendly lifestyles.

Referring to initiatives such as ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, Swachh Bharat Mission, Jal Jeevan Mission, Amrit Sarovar Abhiyan and Mission LiFE, the Governor said environmental protection was a shared responsibility of every citizen.
