Shimla: In view of the upcoming visit of President of India Droupadi Murmu to AIIMS Bilaspur, the Governor Kavinder Gupta, today inspected the ongoing four laning work on NH-205 from Kalar Bala Village to Nauni Chowk.
During the inspection, NHAI officials briefed the Governor on the overall progress of the four-laning project, which involves up-gradation of the existing road from Kalar Bala Village to Nauni Chowk on NH-205 over a stretch of 17.450 km. The officials apprised the Governor of the work completed so far, ongoing construction activities and the proposed timeline for completion, informing that the project is scheduled to be completed by September 2027.
The Governor directed the concerned officials to accord priority to all works related to the movement and connectivity around AIIMS Bilaspur in view of the forthcoming visit of the President. He emphasised the need to ensure timely clearance of the passage and completion of necessary arrangements well in advance.
