Ex-Paramilitary personnel express gratitude to CM for announcing Paramilitary Welfare Board

SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh State Ex-Para Military Coordination and Welfare Association has expressed its gratitude to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the historic announcement of constituting a Paramilitary Welfare Board in the Budget 2026–27.

A delegation of the Association called on the Chief Minister here today and felicitated him on the occasion. The representatives stated that the decision fulfills a long-pending demand and will directly benefit personnel of paramilitary forces, Veer Naris and their families. Office bearers of the Association remarked that the initiative reflects the Chief Minister’s visionary leadership and his sensitivity towards the paramilitary community. They expressed confidence that this step will instill renewed hope and trust among paramilitary families.

The Association also conveyed special thanks to Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania for effectively raising the issue and playing a significant role in bringing it to fruition. The support extended by other legislators was also appreciated. The Association stated that the formation of the Paramilitary Welfare Board will prove to be a significant milestone towards the welfare of the paramilitary community in the State. The Chief Minister reiterated that the State Government remains fully committed to the welfare of ex-servicemen and paramilitary personnel.
