Minister of State attends Raja Daksh Prajapati Jayanti celebrations as Chief Guest

Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Youth Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, Sports, Gaurav Gautam extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Raja Daksh Prajapati Jayanti, stating that the ideals of saints and great personalities in Indian culture inspire society to remain united. He said the life of Raja Daksh Prajapati symbolises dedication to duty, social harmony and public welfare, and urged people to strengthen education, values and social organisation by following his teachings.

The Minister was addressing the Raja Daksh Prajapati Jayanti celebrations organised by the Prajapati Dharamshala Seva Samiti at Prajapati Dharamshala, Old GT Road, Palwal, in the gracious presence of Sant Rishi Raj Maharaj of Panchwati Dham, Palwal. He inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Gaurav Gautam said saints and great personalities are not confined to any particular caste, religion or community; rather, their lives and teachings serve as a source of inspiration for the entire society. Their ideals promote love, service, equality, harmony and humanity while strengthening the values of Sanatan culture.

The Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, the Haryana Government has taken a unique and historic initiative through the Sant-Mahapurush Samman Evam Vichar Prachar-Prasar Yojana to honour saints and great personalities from all sections of society. State-level programmes are organised from time to time across Haryana in recognition of their contributions. He said the objective of the present programme was also to honour such great personalities and share their contributions for the welfare of society.

Prajapati Community Has Contributed Immensely to Society

Paying tributes to Maharaja Daksh Prajapati, Gaurav Gautam described him as a great ruler, an able administrator and a pioneer in the expansion of civilization. He said the traditional art of making earthen pots is an invaluable heritage of India and reflects the creativity, skill and craftsmanship of the Prajapati community. He added that the community has made a significant contribution to the development of society.

The Minister said the Haryana Government is committed to ensuring dignity and opportunities for every hardworking citizen. Several welfare schemes have been implemented by the State Government, and he urged members of the community to take maximum advantage of these initiatives. Other speakers also highlighted the life and contributions of Raja Daksh Prajapati and called upon society to remain united while strengthening social values.

On the occasion, the Prajapati Dharamshala Seva Samiti accorded a warm welcome to the Minister by presenting him with a traditional turban.

Mann Ki Baat Has Evolved into a People’s Movement Inspiring the Nation- Gaurav Gautam

Gaurav Gautam on Sunday joined party workers and residents at Kalyan Valley Garden, Palwal, to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The Minister and those present listened attentively to the Prime Minister’s address.

Interacting with party workers afterwards, Gaurav Gautam said Mann Ki Baat is not merely a radio programme but a people’s movement that inspires citizens across the country. Through the programme, the Prime Minister shares inspiring stories of individuals making outstanding contributions in different fields, thereby encouraging positive social change, he said.

The Minister said the Prime Minister has consistently sensitised citizens on important issues such as cleanliness, environmental conservation, Atmanirbhar Bharat, women empowerment, innovation, promotion of local products and nation-building. He added that it is the responsibility of every party worker to carry these messages to the people.

The Minister further said that in the latest edition of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, the Prime Minister highlighted several public-interest initiatives, including National Handloom Day, tree plantation, Guru Purnima, water conservation, new milestones in sports, the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the use of herbal tea, the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign and the proper disposal of plastic waste.

He said these initiatives are not merely government programmes but campaigns driven by public participation. He urged citizens to adopt these inspiring messages in their daily lives by planting more trees, conserving water, disposing of plastic responsibly and actively contributing to nation-building.
