Power-related grievances of consumers in Panchkula district to be heard on August 25, 2026

Chandigarh: Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) is committed to providing uninterrupted power supply to consumers. The Nigam is implementing several ambitious programmes for the prompt resolution of consumer grievances.

Sharing more details in this regard, an official spokesperson said that the Chairman and members of the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum of UHBVN Circle Forum, Panchkula, will hold proceedings on August 25, 2026 (Tuesday), from 11:30 a.m. at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Panchkula, SCO No. 96, First Floor, Sector-5, Panchkula. During the proceedings, only grievances of consumers of Panchkula district will be heard.

The spokesperson said that forum members will hear all types of grievances of consumers in Panchkula district, primarily including complaints related to billing, voltage and metering; disconnection and reconnection of electricity connections; interruptions in power supply; deficiencies in efficiency, safety and reliability; and non-compliance with the orders of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.

However, the Forum will not hear cases relating to penalties and fines in matters of electricity theft and unauthorised use of electricity under Sections 126 and 135 to 139 of the Electricity Act, or cases relating to inquiries and accidents under Section 161 of the Act. All consumers are requested to avail themselves of this opportunity for the redressal of their grievances.
