Chandigarh: The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) is committed to providing reliable, quality and uninterrupted power supply to consumers. To achieve the goal of “total consumer satisfaction”, the Nigam has initiated several ambitious programmes aimed at resolving consumer grievances promptly.
Giving this information, a spokesperson for the Nigam said that, as per Regulation 2.8.2, the Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum will hear complaints relating to financial disputes involving amounts above Rs 1 lakh and up to Rs 3 lakh in each case. The grievances of consumers from the districts falling under the Panchkula Zone — Kurukshetra, Ambala, Panchkula, Kaithal and Yamunanagar — will be addressed on October 5, 12, 19 and 27 at the Zonal Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum, Panchkula.
The spokesperson said that complaints relating to incorrect electricity bills, electricity tariffs, meter security, defective meters and voltage-related issues will be taken up. However, cases relating to electricity theft, misuse of electricity and fatal or non-fatal accidents will not be considered.
The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has appealed to consumers to attend the proceedings being held on October 5, 12, 19 and 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the UHBVN headquarters, Vidyut Sadan, Industrial Plot No. 3 and 4, Sector-14, Panchkula, to seek redressal of their electricity-related grievances.
