Major Boost to Healthcare and Nursing Education in Mewat Region

Chandigarh: In a significant step towards strengthening Haryana’s healthcare and medical education infrastructure, the State Government has accorded administrative approval for the establishment of a Government Nursing College at Dadu village in Nuh district. The new institution will have an approved annual intake of 60 students, providing youth from Mewat and adjoining areas with access to quality nursing education closer to home.

Haryana Health Minister, Ms Arti Singh Rao, expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister,  Nayab Singh Saini for approving the project. She said the establishment of the nursing college reflects the government’s commitment to expanding quality healthcare and educational infrastructure in the state.

The Minister said Nuh has long awaited better healthcare services and employment-oriented educational institutions. The establishment of the college will not only help produce trained nursing professionals locally but also strengthen the availability of skilled manpower at primary and secondary healthcare institutions across the region.

She said the institution would be particularly beneficial for young women from the area, who will now be able to pursue nursing education without having to move to distant cities.
Ms Arti Rao said the government’s decision reflects its commitment to bringing Nuh into the mainstream of development while expanding modern healthcare infrastructure in rural areas. She expressed confidence that the nursing college would not only raise healthcare standards in the region but also create new employment opportunities for local youth, contributing to the district’s long-term socio-economic development.
