India Will Become Prosperous, Developed and Self-Reliant Through Cooperatives: Gaurav Gautam

Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs and Law, Gaurav Gautam, said that cooperation is not merely a department but a strong foundation of India’s prosperous social and economic system. He said moving forward together is the core spirit of cooperation, and when society works in unity, the pace of development increases manifold. Through cooperation, India will become prosperous, developed and self-reliant.

Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs and Law, Gaurav Gautam, was addressing a district-level cooperative awareness seminar held in Palwal as the chief guest. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the cooperative sector in the country has received a new direction and fresh impetus. The establishment of a separate Ministry of Cooperation, promotion of digital systems and several decisions taken to empower farmers and the rural economy are evidence that the Central Government considers cooperation an important means of development. He also visited the exhibition organised at the seminar.

Minister of State Gaurav Gautam said that under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state government is also continuously working to strengthen cooperative institutions, provide better facilities to farmers and empower the rural economy. The government’s objective is to make cooperative societies a strong means of economic self-reliance for farmers, women and youth.

He said that the stronger the farmers of India are, the stronger our state and country will be. He said that cooperative societies play an important role in increasing farmers’ income by providing them with essential facilities such as fertilisers, seeds, loans, storage and marketing. He also called upon youth and women to join the cooperative movement in greater numbers, saying that their participation is essential in building a self-reliant India.

Gaurav Gautam said that today’s awareness campaign is not merely a programme to provide information, but an initiative to bring society together, strengthen trust and open the doors to new possibilities for development. He called upon everyone present to take a pledge to further strengthen the spirit of cooperation in their villages, areas and districts.

He said that cooperation is a core value of Indian culture, based on mutual trust, collaboration and collective development. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the cooperative sector in the country has received a new direction, and the Haryana Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, is also continuously working to strengthen this sector.
