Independence Day: Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh to hoist Tricolour in Yamunanagar

Chandigarh: Haryana will celebrate the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour and dignity. The state-level Independence Day celebrations will be held on August 15, 2026, with flag-hoisting ceremonies across Haryana scheduled at 9:00 AM.

A letter in this regard, issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, states that Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh will hoist the Tricolour in Yamunanagar, while Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini will hoist the National Flag in Hansi district. The ‘At Home’ ceremony will be hosted at Haryana Lok Bhavan, Chandigarh.

Energy Minister Anil Vij will hoist the Tricolour in Ambala district, while MP Subhash Barala will perform the flag-hoisting ceremony in Bhiwani district. MP Rekha Sharma will hoist the Tricolour in Charkhi Dadri district, and Revenue and Disaster Management Minister  Vipul Goel will hoist the national flag in Faridabad district.

School Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda will hoist the Tricolour in Fatehabad district, while Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Dr. Krishan Lal Middha will hoist the national flag in Gurugram district. MP Naveen Jindal will hoist the Tricolour in Hisar district, while Health Minister Arti Singh Rao will hoist the national flag in Jhajjar district.

MP Sanjay Bhatia will hoist the Tricolour in Jind district, while Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar will hoist the national flag in Kaithal district. Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa will hoist the Tricolour in Karnal district, while Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Harvinder Kalyan will hoist the national flag in Kurukshetra district.

MP Dharambir Singh will hoist the Tricolour in Mahendragarh district, while MP Kartikey Sharma will hoist the national flag in Nuh district. Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Minister Gaurav Gautam will hoist the Tricolour in Palwal district, and Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry will hoist the national flag in Panchkula district.

Development and Panchayats Minister Krishan Lal Panwar will hoist the Tricolour in Panipat district, while Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Rajesh Nagar will hoist the national flag in Rewari district. Cooperation Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma will hoist the Tricolour in Rohtak district, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana will hoist the national flag in Sirsa district, and Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh will hoist the Tricolour in Sonipat district.

Independence Day functions will also be organised at the sub-divisional level. In Ambala district, MLA Shelly Chaudhary will hoist the Tricolour in Naraingarh, SDM Ambala Cantt in Ambala Cantt and Chairman of Gau Sewa Aayog Ram Chander Kamboj in Barara. In Bhiwani district, MLA Sunil Satpal Sangwan will hoist the national flag in Loharu, MLA Ghanshyam Saraf in Tosham, MLA Kapoor Singh in Siwani and MLA Umed Singh in Badhra of Charkhi Dadri district.

In Faridabad district, MLA Dhanesh Adlakha will hoist the Tricolour in Badkhal and MLA Mool Chand Sharma in Ballabhgarh. In Fatehabad district, MLA Savitri Jindal will hoist the national flag in Tohana and MLA Jarnail Singh in Ratia. In Gurugram district, MLA Bimla Chaudhary will hoist the Tricolour in Pataudi, MLA Satish Kumar Phagna in Badshahpur, MLA Mukesh Sharma in Manesar and MLA Tejpal Tanwar in Sohna.

In Narnaud of Hansi, MLA Vinod Bhayana will hoist the national flag; in Barwala of Hisar, Randhir Panihar; in Bahadurgarh of Jhajjar, MLA Rajesh Joon; in Badli, Chairperson of Women Development Corporation Sunita Dangi; in Beri, Chairman of Warehousing Corporation Ram Kishan Sharma; in Julana of Jind, Chairman of Social Welfare Board Captain Yogesh Bairagi; in Safidon, MLA Ram Kumar Gautam; in Uchana Kalan, MLA Devender Chatarbhuj Attri; and in Narwana, Chairman of Haryana Public Enterprises Bureau (HBPE) Mohan Lal Badoli will hoist the Tricolour.

In Kaithal district, MLA Satpal Jamba will hoist the national flag in Guhla and Devender Panchal in Kalayat. In Karnal district, MLA Bhagwan Dass will hoist the Tricolour in Nilokheri, MLA Ram Kumar Kashyap in Indri, MLA Jagmohan Anand in Gharaunda and MLA Yogender Singh Rana in Assandh. In Kurukshetra district, Divisional Commissioner will hoist the national flag in Ladwa, Chairman of Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Subhash Kalsana in Shahabad and Chairman of Haryana Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board Jasmer Singh Banjara in Pehowa.

In Mahendragarh, MLA Om Prakash Yadav will hoist the Tricolour, MLA Kanwar Singh in Kanina and MLA Laxman Singh Yadav in Nangal Chaudhary. In Nuh district, Chairman of Housefed Subhash Bansal will hoist the national flag in Ferozepur Jhirka, Chairman of Zila Parishad, Nuh, Jaan Mohammad in Tauru and MLA Mohammad Ilyas in Punhana. In Palwal district, MLA Mohammad Israil will hoist the Tricolour in Hathin and MLA Harinder Singh in Hodal. In Panchkula district, MLA Shakti Rani Sharma will hoist the national flag in Kalka. In Panipat district, MLA Parmod Kumar Vij will hoist the Tricolour in Israna and MLA Manmohan Bhadana in Samalkha.

In Rewari district, MLA Dr. Krishan Kumar will hoist the national flag in Bawal and MLA Anil Yadav in Kosli. In Rohtak district, Chairman of Medical Council Satish Khattar will hoist the Tricolour in Meham and MLA Nikhil Madaan in Sampla. In Sirsa district, Chairman of Seed Development Corporation Dev Kumar Sharma will hoist the national flag in Kalanwali, Chairman of Labour Welfare Board Rohtash Jangra in Dabwali and Member and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran Rajpal Beniwal in Ellenabad.

In Sonipat district, MLA Devender Kadyan will hoist the Tricolour in Ganaur, MLA Pawan Kharkhauda in Kharkhauda and MLA Krishna Gahlawat in Gohana. In Yamunanagar district, MLA Renu Bala will hoist the national flag in Bilaspur, Chairperson of the Scheduled Castes Commission Banto Kataria in Chhachhrauli and MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora in Radaur

The letter also states that in case any of the designated dignitaries is unable to reach the assigned venue for any reason, the concerned Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate or Tehsildar will hoist the Tricolour at the respective location.
