Chandigarh: During the Monsoon Session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, the House, including Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda and MLA Aditya Devilal, expressed profound grief over the demise of prominent persons, former legislators, martyred soldiers and citizens who lost their lives in various accidents since the last Assembly session.

While reading out the condolence resolutions, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the departed souls and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The Chief Minister also expressed grief over the deaths caused by the floods in Nepal on Wednesday.

Tribute to Former Member of the United Punjab Assembly Chaudhary Sahi Ram Bishnoi

The House expressed deep grief over the demise of former member of the United Punjab Assembly, Chaudhary Sahi Ram Bishnoi, who passed away on May 22. He was born on January 12, 1922, and was elected a member of the United Punjab Assembly in 1960. He was a dedicated social worker. With his demise, the state lost a worthy public representative and social worker.

Condolences on the Demise of Former Haryana Assembly Member Rajpal Bhukhri

The House also expressed deep grief over the demise of former member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, Rajpal Bhukhri, who passed away on July 20, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1971, and was elected a member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in 2009. He remained committed to the welfare and upliftment of the poor and weaker sections of society. The Assembly described his demise as an irreparable loss to the state.

Heartfelt Tribute to the Martyrs of Haryana

The House paid its highest respects to the brave soldiers of Haryana who displayed indomitable courage and valour in defending the unity and integrity of the motherland and made the supreme sacrifice. The House paid homage to the supreme sacrifice of all these brave soldiers and expressed its heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families.

The House expressed deep grief over the deaths of three people in the tragic fire that broke out at shoe shops in D Park Market, Rohtak, on June 9, 2026. The Assembly conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
