Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has announced a major expansion of the Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat scheme, reiterating the state government’s commitment to providing quality and affordable healthcare to every citizen.
Under the expanded scheme, families with an annual income of more than Rs 1.80 lakh will also be able to avail its benefits by paying a nominal annual premium. Eligibility will be determined on the basis of verified annual income recorded in the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). Eligible families will be entitled to free and cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per year at empanelled hospitals across the state.
Premiums have been fixed according to income slabs. Families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh will pay Rs 1,500 per year, those in the Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh bracket will pay Rs 4,000, while families with an annual income of more than Rs 6 lakh will pay Rs 5,000 per year.
