Chandigarh: Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister, Shyam Singh Rana said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, being organised across every corner of the country and the state following the call of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, aims to strengthen the spirit of patriotism among every citizen. He said the campaign seeks to further strengthen the feelings of patriotism, national pride and respect for the national flag in the hearts of every citizen.
The Agriculture Minister said the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign would be organised this year on a broader, more effective and more participatory scale. He said the Tricolour was integral to the identity of the nation and a symbol of the country’s unity. Every citizen, he added, was ready to make any sacrifice to uphold the honour and dignity of the national flag. This Tiranga Yatra will imbue every citizen with the spirit of patriotism, he said.
Shyam Singh Rana said the country had attained freedom after the sacrifices of millions of brave freedom fighters and it was the collective responsibility of every citizen to preserve that freedom.
He said that under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, a range of programmes would be organised across all districts of Haryana at Anganwadi centres as well as at village, block and district levels. These would include Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga pledges, runs, fairs, canvas activities, singing of Vande Mataram, the National Anthem and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programmes.
Paying tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation
The Agriculture Minister said the country’s soldiers were prepared to shed every drop of their blood to uphold the honour of the Tricolour. Countless brave soldiers had laid down their lives for the freedom of the country, he said, adding that every citizen would always remember their sacrifice and draw inspiration from their supreme service to the nation.
He said the campaign was being organised across the country under the guidance of the Prime Minister. The enthusiasm and passion of the people participating in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, he added, were also inspiring the soldiers of the country.
BJP leaders and workers playing an important role in the campaign
Shyam Singh Rana said that under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, senior BJP leaders and party workers were playing an important role in the campaign. He said programmes under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign were also being organised in schools, colleges and administrative offices across the state.
The Minister said it was the responsibility of every citizen to hoist the Tricolour at their homes as part of the campaign. He said the national flag reminded every citizen that the country was moving forward as one nation, with one culture and a shared objective of public welfare. He urged the people of Haryana and the country to celebrate the campaign with a sense of pride and contribute towards the progress of the nation. Walking together in unity in honour of the Tricolour is the true expression of our respect and dedication towards the nation, he said.
Every citizen can hoist the national flag with due respect
Shyam Singh Rana said that under the campaign, every citizen of India could hoist the national flag with due respect. He said the Tricolour symbolised India’s continuous progress and reflected the country’s national unity, peace, prosperity and development.
The Minister also emphasised the need to make the younger generation aware of the sacrifices made by the country’s martyrs. He said it was important to tell young people about the sacrifices of the martyrs so that they could understand their contribution to the nation and draw inspiration from their lives.
