Chandigarh: Chairman of the Haryana Bureau of Public Enterprises, Mohan Lal Badoli, felicitated Haryana’s daughter and Ritoli village resident Kirti Sharma, who won a gold medal for India in the women’s recurve team event in archery at the Asian Games 2026, at a felicitation ceremony organised on her arrival in her village. Notably, the Indian team defeated South Korea 5-3 in the final to win the gold medal.

On the occasion, Mohan Lal Badoli felicitated Kirti Sharma by presenting her with a traditional turban, a shawl and a letter of appreciation. The villagers welcomed Kirti Sharma with drums, flower petals and patriotic slogans on her arrival.
Addressing the gathering, Badoli said that Kirti Sharma’s achievement is a matter of pride for the entire Haryana and the country. He said that the daughters of Haryana have established their identity at the national and international levels through their talent and hard work in various sports. Kirti Sharma has enhanced the pride of the country by delivering an outstanding performance on the international stage.
Badoli extended his best wishes to Kirti Sharma for future competitions and wished her a bright sporting career. He said her achievement is a matter of pride for her family, village, Jind district, and all of Haryana.
