Chandigarh: Haryana Cooperation and Tourism Minister, Dr Arvind Sharma, on late Tuesday evening led a grand reception for the Sacred Kalash Vandan Yatra carrying the sacred soil from the birthplace of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji at Seer Govardhanpur, Varanasi, on its arrival in Gohana. The yatra, flagged off by Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini from Gurugram.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Arvind Sharma said Sant Guru Ravidas Ji’s teachings inspire society to rise above caste-based discrimination and embrace humanity, equality, brotherhood and social harmony. He said the Kalash Vandan Yatra is not merely a religious event but also a medium to carry the saint’s timeless message to every section of society. He urged people to follow Guru Ravidas Ji’s ideals to strengthen social harmony and eliminate discrimination.
The reception witnessed enthusiastic participation from public representatives, social organisations and devotees. Participants also reaffirmed their commitment to imbibe the ideals of Sant Guru Ravidas Ji and work towards strengthening social harmony.
