Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday announced a series of development projects for the Naraingarh Assembly constituency in Ambala district, along with a grant of Rs. 5 crore for infrastructure development and the construction of community buildings.
Addressing a public meeting at the Naraingarh Grain Market, the Chief Minister said the state government is committed to ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all regions of Haryana.
Earlier, Naraingarh MLA Shalley Chaudhary and former MLA, Dr Pawan Saini welcomed the Chief Minister and submitted separate memoranda outlining key development demands for the constituency. Responding positively Nayab Singh Saini approved several proposals aimed at strengthening civic infrastructure and improving public amenities.
Among the key announcements, the Chief Minister sanctioned the construction of a skating track at the Government College, Naraingarh. He also approved the construction of roads connecting Lakhnaura to Khanpur Labana and Panjlasa to Ahmadpur.
Furthermore, to enhance public infrastructure, the Chief Minister announced the development of the Sanatan Ground opposite the Naraingarh Grain Market, the establishment of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at Shahzadpur, and directed that feasibility studies be conducted for the construction of a road and bridge over the Markanda River between Loto and Dumawala. He further ordered a feasibility assessment by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a flyover at Kadasan village.
The Chief Minister also announced that a Government Women’s ITI building on the Hussaini Road would be constructed once suitable land is made available. In addition, digital libraries will be established in both Naraingarh and Shahzadpur to promote access to modern learning resources.
Health and AYUSH Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Dr Sumita Misra, NHM Mission Director, Dr R.S. Dhillon, former Minister, Aseem Goel, former MLA, Dr Pawan Saini, senior government officers and other dignitaries were present at the event.
