Chandigarh: The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has invited online applications from farmers under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) 2026–27 for availing a 50 percent subsidy on crop residue management machine. The last date to apply is August 3, 2026.

Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said thaṭ the scheme offers farmers an opportunity to purchase crop residue management machines at a 50 percent subsidy to promote sustainable farming practices.

The spokesperson said the initiative aims to reduce incidents of stubble burning and curb air pollution by encouraging the use of modern agricultural machinery. Under the scheme, a 50 percent subsidy will be provided on equipment such as Super SMS, Happy Seeder, Super Seeder, Straw Chopper/Shredder/Mulcher, Reversible MB Plough, Zero Till Seed Drill, Straw Baler, Rake, Crop Reaper, Tractor-Mounted Loader, and Tractor-Operated Tender Machine, among others.

Interested farmers can submit their applications online through the Agri Haryana portal (agriharyana.gov.in) by August 3, 2026. Registration on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal is mandatory for applying under the scheme. Applicants will also be required to upload their Parivar Pehchan Patra, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, bank account details, valid tractor registration certificate (RC), and other necessary documents. Farmers belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category must also submit a valid caste certificate.

The spokesperson further said that applicants must provide an affidavit declaring that they will not burn crop residue in their fields and that no member of their family has availed a subsidy for the same agricultural machine during the past three years. Under the individual category, each farmer can apply for only one agricultural machine. However, farmers selected for a Straw Baler may also receive a subsidy for a Rake, Straw Rake, or Shredder Master/Rotary Slasher machine.

Selected farmers will be required to submit the prescribed documents to the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer in their respective districts within the stipulated timeframe. After verification, online permits will be issued. Once the permit is granted, farmers must purchase the approved machinery from a department-authorised manufacturer or dealer by September 7, 2026, and upload the invoice, e-way bill, GPS location, and other required documents on the portal. Farmers placed on the waiting list will be issued permits later, subject to availability.

The spokesperson added that agricultural machinery manufacturers can also register online under the scheme through the Agri Haryana portal. Manufacturers approved during 2025–26 whose test reports remain valid for the current year will not be required to apply again.
