Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that eligible women belonging to families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh will receive the benefit of the Lado Lakshmi Yojana from November. The government has fulfilled its promise of providing Rs. 2,100 per month to women by implementing the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana.

The scheme was expanded on September 17, on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, and families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1.80 lakh have now been included among the beneficiaries. He said that following the expansion of the scheme, the portal has been opened for applications and eligible women will start receiving the benefit from November 1. Earlier, families with an annual income of up to Rs. 1 lakh were eligible for the scheme. So far, more than Rs. 2,000 crore has been transferred online to the bank accounts of eligible women.
He said that the Congress government had provided only Rs. 137 crore to farmers as compensation for crop losses during its tenure, whereas the present government has provided Rs. 16,500 crore to farmers for crop losses.
