Chief Minister Announces Ex-Gratia Relief for Victims of Rohtak Tragedy

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has expressed profound grief over the tragic incident in Rohtak and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The Chief Minister announced an ex-gratia assistance of Rs.10 lakh each to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident. He also announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for each injured person. In addition, all injured victims will receive free treatment at government hospitals.

Nayab Singh Saini directed the district administration to ensure that affected families receive all necessary support without delay. He further ordered a comprehensive inquiry into the incident, to be conducted by the Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak.

The Chief Minister said that an assessment of the loss of life and property would be carried out and appropriate measures taken to provide relief and compensation wherever required.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the affected families Nayab Singh Saini said the state government stands firmly with them during this difficult time and will extend every possible assistance.
