Hyderabad: Popular actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have reportedly gotten engaged in a private ceremony held in Hyderabad, according to sources close to the families.
While neither Vijay nor Rashmika has officially confirmed the news, reports suggest that the engagement took place at 11:15 a.m. on Friday at Deverakonda’s residence. The intimate event was attended only by close family members, and no photographs from the ceremony have surfaced so far.
The couple, who are rumoured to have been dating for several years, are reportedly planning their wedding for February 2026. Their on-screen chemistry in films like Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade had fueled widespread speculation about their relationship.
Rashmika Mandanna, often hailed as the “National Crush,” rose to fame with the blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and went on to star in major hits such as Sita Ramam (2022), Varisu (2023), Animal (2023), Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024), and the historical epic Chhaava (2025). She is next set to appear in Thamma, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik under Maddock Films. The film, written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara, is slated for a Diwali 2025 release.
Vijay Deverakonda was recently seen in the spy-action thriller Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, which earned him critical acclaim. Rashmika had even shared a heartfelt Instagram story appreciating Vijay’s dedication to the project, adding further spark to their off-screen connection.
If confirmed, the engagement marks one of the most high-profile unions in the South Indian film industry, bringing together two of Tollywood’s biggest stars both on and off the screen.
