Mumbai — Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif, 42, and Vicky Kaushal, 37, have confirmed they are expecting their first child. The couple shared the news on Instagram with a picture showing Katrina’s baby bump, accompanied by a heartfelt caption: “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”
The announcement drew an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities. Actor Varun Dhawan commented, “My heart is full.” One fan wrote, “Chotti Kat ya Vicky arha ha (a tiny Kat or Vicky is about to arrive).” Another admirer added, “Be happy Katu, you deserve it.”
For Katrina, the moment fulfills a long-cherished dream. In a 2010 interview with Cosmopolitan India, she had expressed her desire for marriage and children, saying, “I dream of being married and having kids and living happily ever after. That’s me.”
Rumors of her pregnancy had circulated earlier when a picture from an ad shoot showed her with a visible baby bump. The confirmation now ends weeks of speculation.
Katrina and Vicky, who tied the knot in a royal ceremony at the Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara in Rajasthan in 2021, have never appeared together on-screen.
