Delhi Records ‘Poor’ Air Quality as Temperatures Rise, Cloud Cover Expected

Delhi: Air quality in New Delhi remained in the ‘poor’ category on Sunday morning, even as the city experienced slightly below-normal minimum temperatures and a forecast of partly cloudy skies.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.7 degrees Celsius, marginally lower than the seasonal average. The weather agency has predicted that the mercury could climb to around 40 degrees Celsius during the day, indicating a warm afternoon ahead.

Humidity levels were relatively high in the morning, with readings touching 64 percent at around 8:30 am, adding to the discomfort.
