Delhi: Early Saturday morning, several schools across Delhi received bomb threat calls, triggering panic and emergency responses on their campuses. Among the institutions targeted were Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.
In response, police teams along with bomb disposal units rushed to these locations. As a safety precaution, students and staff were evacuated, and comprehensive searches of the school premises were conducted. No explosives were found during the inspections.
Due to the threat and ensuing security concerns, DPS Dwarka announced the cancellation of mid-term examinations scheduled for classes 3 to 12. The school sent out an official circular stating that the campus would remain closed for the day and urged parents to be present at bus stops or to collect their children directly from school.
The notice from DPS Dwarka read:
“Dear Parents, please be informed that the school will remain closed today, Saturday, 20 September 2025, due to unavoidable circumstances. All school transport is being sent back immediately. Parents are requested to be available at stops to receive their children. The mid-term exams planned for today have been postponed, and revised dates will be shared soon.”
Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to identify the source of the threats. Security measures have been heightened across schools in the city to prevent any potential risks and to reassure parents and students.
Parents and community members are advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to local authorities.
