New Delhi: Two Delhi University institutions, Ramjas College in north Delhi and Deshbandhu College in south Delhi, received bomb threat emails on Wednesday, prompting immediate security action, officials said.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Raja Banthia, the principal of Ramjas College reported receiving the threat at 1:59 am. Following this, the Delhi Police along with the Bomb Disposal Team (BDT) rushed to the campus to conduct anti-sabotage checks.

Authorities cordoned off the campuses and conducted thorough inspections of all buildings and open areas. So far, no suspicious objects have been found, and additional verification measures are ongoing, the DCP confirmed.

The email threats triggered heightened security across both colleges, with police teams maintaining a visible presence to ensure student and staff safety.

No further details have been released about the origin of the emails or any potential suspects, as investigations continue.
