Chandigarh- mDelhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday took serious cognizance of the alleged physical assault of a three-year-old toddler at a private playschool in northeast Delhi’s Maujpur, terming the incident deeply disturbing. Condemning the act, the chief minister assured that strict accountability will be established and that those found guilty will face the most stringent legal consequences.
Following directives issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, the concerned District Magistrate initiated formal administrative proceedings to seal the premises of the playschool. The administration emphasized that child safety in educational establishments remains a top priority and that institutional negligence will not be tolerated.
A police investigation into the matter is currently underway to ascertain the full extent of the abuse and identify all responsible staff and management personnel. The authorities have reiterated that comprehensive action will follow once the inquiry concludes.
