Chandigarh: The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has announced temporary traffic restrictions across multiple locations to support ongoing upgrades to the Tertiary Treated (T.T.) water supply network. The closures are required for strengthening the system and laying new pipelines in sectors that were previously left out.

As part of the project, several routes will remain shut for specified durations to allow safe and uninterrupted execution of the work. The Mauli Jagran–Vikas Nagar Market Road will remain closed from November 15 at 10 am until November 25 at 10 pm. Traffic will also be restricted at the Vikas Nagar Light Point on November 16 between 10 am and 10 pm. Additionally, the Mauli Jagran entry road on the Chandigarh–Panchkula Highway near the Housing Board Light Point will be closed on November 17 during the same hours.

Officials have urged residents to follow diversions, anticipate delays, and cooperate with the ongoing work. The Municipal Corporation said the temporary inconvenience is necessary to improve the efficiency and reach of the city’s T.T. water distribution system.
