Washington: The White House responded sharply after US President Donald Trump was not awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize. Steven Cheung, White House Director of Communications, criticised the Nobel Committee, accusing it of prioritising politics over peace.
“President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives. There will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with sheer force of his will,” Cheung said. He expressed disappointment with the committee’s decision, asserting that it overlooked Trump’s contributions to global peace efforts.
The statement comes amid ongoing discussions over Trump’s international initiatives, with the White House reiterating its commitment to diplomatic efforts and conflict resolution.
