Chandigarh, August 4: In a significant national recognition, the Punjab Government has been awarded the Technology Sabha Excellence Award 2025 in the Data Analytics category, celebrating its pioneering efforts in using technology and data-driven insights to improve citizen services and strengthen governance.

The award was received by DK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary of Punjab’s Good Governance and Information Technology Department, at a grand ceremony hosted by the Indian Express Group in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This accolade highlights Punjab’s commitment to deploying technology for transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric governance.

The Technology Sabha platform brings together senior government ICT leaders and policymakers from across the country, encouraging knowledge sharing, showcasing successful tech-driven governance initiatives, and shaping the future of India’s digital transformation.

Congratulating the department, Punjab Good Governance and Information Technology Minister Aman Arora called it a proud moment for the state and credited the achievement to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s visionary leadership. He said, “This award validates our commitment to using technology not just as a tool but as a foundation for good governance. Data analytics is a game-changer—it helps us better understand citizens’ needs, identify service delivery bottlenecks, and make informed decisions that improve lives.”

Arora emphasized that the recognition from Technology Sabha is a strong motivator for Punjab to continue its digital transformation journey. “This award proves that we are not merely talking about good governance; we are building it—brick by brick,” he added.

The Punjab government’s innovative use of data analytics has streamlined administrative processes, improved public services, and fostered a more accountable and responsive administration.

This achievement reinforces the state’s commitment to building a “Rangla Punjab”, using technology as a driving force for the welfare and prosperity of its citizens.
