Chandigarh: Former Punjab minister Anil Joshi, who recently parted ways with the Shiromani Akali Dal, officially joined the Congress party on Wednesday.
The induction took place in Chandigarh, where Joshi was welcomed into the party fold by senior Congress leaders including Bhupesh Baghel, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, and Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa.
Joshi’s switch to Congress is seen as a significant political development in Punjab, coming ahead of key electoral battles in the state.
