Donald Trump Says America Would Be Disgraced if He’s Denied Nobel Prize for Peace Efforts

QUANTICO, VA: US President Donald Trump declared that it would be a “great disgrace” for the United States if he were not awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, citing his claimed role in resolving multiple global conflicts, including a new proposal aimed at ending the war in Gaza.

Speaking during an address to military personnel at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Trump claimed credit for helping settle seven international disputes and said his latest plan could mark an eighth. “I believe we’ve solved it,” he said, referring to the conflict in Gaza. “Now, Hamas has to agree, and if they don’t, it’s going to be very difficult for them. But all Arab and Muslim nations agree. Israel agrees. It’s a beautiful thing — everyone is on board.”

Trump’s remarks came a day after he unveiled a peace proposal aimed at halting the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. If successful, he said, it would represent an unprecedented string of diplomatic resolutions. “It’s incredible — no one’s ever done this before,” he added.

Despite what he described as major accomplishments, Trump suggested he would likely be overlooked for the Nobel Prize. “Will I get it? Absolutely not,” he said. “They’ll give it to someone who did nothing. Maybe someone who wrote a book about how we did it. That’s how it works.”

Trump went on to argue that any recognition should reflect national pride rather than personal achievement. “I don’t want it for myself. I want it for the country,” he said. “This would be a tremendous moment for America. Nothing like this has ever happened.”

He closed his remarks by emphasizing his expertise in diplomacy and deal-making: “I know more about making agreements than anyone,” he said. “And to have eight peace deals — that’s something special.”
