New Delhi: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight from Mumbai sparked a security scare on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was reported onboard, prompting authorities to declare a full emergency at the Delhi airport.

Flight 6E 762, carrying approximately 200 passengers, landed safely at 7:53 am. The Airbus A321neo aircraft was immediately taken to a remote bay where it underwent thorough security checks. According to sources, the threat was ultimately deemed “non-specific,” but standard safety protocols were followed without delay.

IndiGo confirmed the incident in an official statement, saying, “A security threat was noticed onboard flight 6E 762 from Mumbai to Delhi. Following standard protocol, we promptly informed the relevant authorities and fully cooperated in conducting the necessary checks. The aircraft was cleared for operations thereafter.”

During the security operation, passengers were kept informed and offered refreshments. IndiGo stated that every effort was made to minimise inconvenience, and regular updates were provided throughout the process.

While no explosives or suspicious items were found, the incident caused temporary disruptions and heightened alert levels at the airport. Security agencies are continuing their investigation into the source of the threat.
