New Delhi: The Centre has transferred Chandigarh Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma to the national capital. A 1992-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, Verma has now been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).

Verma, who was serving as the top bureaucrat in Chandigarh, takes charge of the key administrative post in Delhi with immediate effect.
