Punjab Government Suspends Five PUNSUP Officials in Corruption Crackdown

Chandigarh: In a decisive move against corruption, the Punjab government has suspended five officers and employees of the Punjab State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd (PUNSUP) posted in Bathinda and Mansa.

The action, announced on Sunday, follows allegations of irregularities and misuse of official positions. Those suspended include Sandeep Kumar, Senior Assistant (Accounts) from Mansa; Amandeep Singh, Inspector Grade-2 from Bathinda; Rupinder Kumar, Inspector Grade-2 from Bathinda; Surinder Kumar, Inspector Grade-1 from Bathinda; and Paviterjeet Singh, Inspector Grade-2 from Bathinda.

Officials said the government is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and will continue strict monitoring of departments involved in public welfare and essential supplies. Further inquiry is underway, and disciplinary measures will follow based on findings.
