Three GBU Students Killed in Head-On Collision on Yamuna Expressway

Ghaziabad: A tragic road accident late Sunday night on the Yamuna Expressway claimed the lives of three students from Gautam Buddha University (GBU). The collision occurred near the Chuharpur underpass in the Beta-2 police station area when a speeding bike rammed head-on into a water tanker engaged in watering roadside trees.

The students were reportedly on their way to a nearby eatery for dinner when the accident occurred. All three sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a private hospital. Two succumbed to their injuries on the spot, while the third, referred to a larger hospital in critical condition, also passed away during treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Swayam Sagar (19) of Panchvati Colony, Ghaziabad; Kush (21) of Khudura village, Ghazipur; and Samarth Pundir (18) of Satellite Colony, Bareilly.

Police have informed the families and launched a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the crash.
