Chandigarh: Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh said that India’s rich tradition of saints has always guided society towards love, compassion, harmony and humanity. The teachings and philosophy of saints remind us that true spirituality is not confined to worship but is reflected in selfless service to the needy, mutual respect and the welfare of society.
The Governor was addressing devotees, saints and organizers on the occasion of the annual Yagya Sangam and Bhandara, organized in memory of Baba Premdas at Tikana Sant Baba Sanwal Shah Ashram in Rohtak on Sunday. The First Lady of Haryana, Smt. Mitra Ghosh, was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Ghosh said that a Yagya is a sacred expression of India’s ancient cultural heritage and conveys the message of sacrifice, dedication and public welfare. A Bhandara, meanwhile, promotes the values of service, equality and brotherhood, bringing people from all walks of life together and strengthening social harmony.
