Shimla: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries at Bhatwari village in the Rohru Assembly constituency.
Remembering the invaluable contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri to nation-building, the Chief Minister said that their ideals and principles continue to remain relevant even today.
He said the present generation must follow the path of truth, non-violence, simplicity, dedication to duty and service to the nation shown by the two great leaders. The Chief Minister was on a two-day visit to the Rohru Assembly constituency and stayed overnight at Bhatwari village under the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ programme.
