Chandigarh: An important meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda also joined the meeting virtually.
The meeting primarily focused on ensuring timely availability of high-quality certified wheat seeds to farmers during the upcoming Rabi season and promoting practical education related to agricultural science and soil health in government schools across the state.
Keeping in view the upcoming wheat sowing season, Shyam Singh Rana made it clear that the state government is fully committed to ensuring that quality seeds are made available to farmers without any delay.
Shyam Singh Rana said that based on the reports obtained after soil testing, agricultural scientists and experts will provide scientific advice to farmers on applying the required nutrients according to the fertility of their land and selecting suitable crops for sowing.
