Jalandhar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to address a major BJP rally in Jalandhar on Wednesday as part of the culmination of the party’s Nasha Mukt Yatra in Punjab.
According to his itinerary, Shah will arrive at Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Adampur Airport before travelling by helicopter to the LR Doaba School grounds.
Amit Shah To Visit Devi Talab Mandir
Before attending the rally, Shah is scheduled to visit the Sri Devi Talab Mandir in Jalandhar and pay obeisance.
During his visit to the temple complex, the Union Home Minister will also pay obeisance at the Tripurmalini shrine. He is scheduled to reach the rally venue at around 2 pm.
Security Tightened Across Jalandhar
Security arrangements have been intensified in Jalandhar ahead of Shah’s visit. Several schools in the city reportedly received bomb threat emails before the Union Home Minister’s arrival. The calls have been described as hoaxes, while security agencies are maintaining heightened vigilance.
Security personnel have stepped up checks in and around key locations, including the rally venue and areas linked to Shah’s scheduled movement.
