Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Empowerment Gaurav Gautam, said that blood donation is a noble form of human service and one unit of blood can play an important role in saving the life of a person in need.
He was speaking at a voluntary blood donation and free eye check-up camp organised at Tagore Shiksha Niketan, Palwal on Saturday, under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The Sports Minister called upon youth and the general public to actively participate in service initiatives such as blood donation and said that promoting the spirit of voluntary blood donation among people is the need of the hour.
A total of 50 blood donors voluntarily donated blood, while around 150 people underwent free eye check-ups.
