Chandigarh: Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Rajesh Nagar said that schools must provide children opportunities beyond academics to nurture their creativity, confidence and overall personality. Speech, painting and rangoli competitions, he said, provide an effective platform for children to express their ideas and broaden their outlook.
The Minister was addressing the district-level ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ programme organised by the Education Department under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Bhiwani on Friday. He attended the programme as the Chief Guest and planted a sapling on the school premises to promote the message of environmental conservation.
Referring to the country’s development, the Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, significant expansion has taken place in infrastructure, including national highways, railways, airports, universities and AIIMS. He said the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public service have been marked by a sustained focus on development and public welfare.
