Expedite Construction of IMC in Hisar to Give New Impetus to Development: CM Saini

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini directed that the construction work of the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) near the airport in Hisar be expedited. He said that the development of the IMC would boost economic activities in the entire region and give fresh impetus to the development of Hisar and adjoining areas.

The Chief Minister issued these directions while chairing a review meeting on various development projects costing more than ₹75 crore being implemented in the state under the ‘State Pragati Portal’ on Thursday. During the meeting, Saini reviewed the progress of 11 development projects pertaining to various departments and issued necessary directions for their timely completion.

 

 

The Chief Minister conducted a special review of the progress of Phase-II of the Swarn Jayanti Integrated Aviation Hub, Hisar. Officers apprised him of the status of airport infrastructure, the new terminal and ATC building, water supply, drainage system and other allied works under the project.

The Chief Minister directed that there should be no delay in construction works related to the IMC and that quality should not be compromised under any circumstances. He said that special provisions should also be made in the IMC for the development of the aerospace, Army corridor and medical sectors.

Major Energy Sector Projects Also Reviewed

The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of various important projects of the Energy Department. These included renovation of 11 kV feeder lines under the Smart City programme in Gurugram, RDSS works in the Jagadhri Division of Yamunanagar, installation of an 800 MW ultra-supercritical unit in Yamunanagar, loss-reduction works under RDSS in Rewari district, and projects related to strengthening various 33 kV substations.

800 MW Unit in Yamunanagar Reviewed

The Chief Minister also reviewed the project for installation of an 800 MW ultra-supercritical unit at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram Thermal Power Plant in Yamunanagar. Officers informed that work on the ₹7,272-crore project is progressing as per schedule and is expected to be completed by December 2029.
