Haryana Showcases Film Potential at International Film Festival Jammu & Kashmir

Chandigarh: Haryana showcased its growing potential as a film production and shooting destination at the four-day ‘International Film Festival Jammu & Kashmir’ in Srinagar, highlighting the State’s film-friendly policy, incentives, simplified shooting permission process and diverse locations before filmmakers, media students and young participants from across the country.

Participating actively as a partner state, Haryana set up a dedicated stall at the festival, organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. Various other states from across the country also participated in the festival.

Filmmakers were informed that the Haryana Government is providing various subsidies and incentives under its film policy to promote film production in the State. The process for obtaining shooting permissions has also been made simple and convenient so that filmmakers do not face unnecessary procedural difficulties and can easily shoot at various locations across Haryana.
