Haryana Assembly Pays Homage to Departed Souls on Second Day of Monsoon Session

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, on the second day of the Monsoon Session, expressed deep grief in the Legislative Assembly over the sad demise of Girrajo Devi, mother of MLA Harinder Singh and mother-in-law of Dr. Krishan Kumar, on August 31, 2026, and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.

The Chief Minister also paid his respects to Shaheed Naib Subedar Bhupender Singh of village Mohanpur, Mahendragarh, who passed away on August 27, 2026, and to Sepoy Sonu Kumar of village Nangal, Bhiwani district, who attained martyrdom on August 28, 2026. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.

In the House, Haryana Legislative Assembly Speaker Harvinder Singh Kalyan, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and Aditya Devi Lal also expressed deep condolences to the departed souls. The House observed a two-minute silence in memory of the departed souls and expressed its condolences.
