New Delhi: A fresh security scare struck the national capital on Saturday after the Taj Palace Hotel received a bomb threat email, a day after a similar hoax disrupted proceedings at the Delhi High Court.

According to officials, the Delhi Police launched a swift search operation at the five-star hotel after the email was received. Following a thorough inspection by security teams, no suspicious object was found. Police later confirmed the threat was a hoax.

A spokesperson for the Taj Palace Hotel said authorities had assured them that the incident was baseless. “The safety and security of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us, and we continue to remain vigilant,” the spokesperson added.

Investigations are underway to trace the origin of the threat email.

The incident came barely 24 hours after chaos gripped the Delhi High Court when an email warned of multiple bombs planted in courtrooms. The message, sent from an account identifying itself as “kanimozhi.thevidiya@outlook.com,” alleged links between Pakistan and Tamil Nadu groups and threatened “Holy Friday blasts.”

The threat forced immediate evacuation of judges, lawyers, staff, and litigants from the court complex, creating scenes of panic. Security agencies, including bomb disposal squads, fire brigades, and sniffer dog units, were deployed. No explosives were recovered during the search.

Officials have confirmed that both emails appear to be part of a coordinated hoax, but the investigation is focusing on the possibility of cross-border or domestic mischief designed to create fear.
