Two Killed, Nine Injured in Reactor Explosion at Telangana Pharma Plant

Yadadri Bhuvanagiri: Two workers lost their lives and nine others sustained injuries following a reactor blast late Friday night at a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of Telangana. The powerful explosion occurred in the Pochampally mandal facility during an active shift change, triggering a widespread blaze across the operational area.

According to police officials, the blast caused severe trauma and burn injuries among nearby factory personnel. Two individuals died as a result of the explosion, while nine workers were rushed to various hospitals for emergency medical care. Among the hospitalized, two workers suffered critical burn injuries exceeding 50 percent, while seven others received treatment for minor wounds.
