Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami has strongly condemned the vandalism of free pilgrim buses operated by the organization in Amritsar. The targeted vehicles are dedicated to providing complimentary transit for domestic and international devotees visiting Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib to tour historical gurdwaras across the region.

Dhami described the damage inflicted on religious community services as deeply painful and unfortunate. He noted that large numbers of pilgrims arrive daily at the Golden Temple and depend on the complimentary bus network for convenient local transportation, emphasizing that damaging vehicles dedicated to community service reflects a hostile mindset aimed at disrupting devotional facilities.

The SGPC has initiated an internal departmental inquiry into the incident while urging local police administration to treat the matter with urgency. Dhami called upon law enforcement authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, identify those responsible, and take stringent legal action to ensure such acts of sabotage do not recur.
