Manimahesh: The Manimahesh Trust has instituted mandatory online registration for devotees participating in the annual Shri Manimahesh Yatra in Himachal Pradesh’s Chamba district. Scheduled to take place from September 4 to September 9, the pilgrimage requires all participants to complete their registration through the official government portal before embarking on the journey.
Disclosing the arrangements, Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa stated that a daily limit of 5,000 pilgrims has been established this year to enhance safety standards and ensure seamless administrative logistics along the trekking route. Hundreds of thousands of devotees travel from across the country each year to seek blessings of Lord Shiva and take a holy dip in the sacred Manimahesh Lake.
Authorities emphasized that no pilgrim will be permitted to proceed without a valid registration slip. The administration urged devotees to book their slots well in advance to assist officials and the Trust in managing crowd flow effectively. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner appealed to travelers to preserve the sanctity of the pilgrimage by refraining from littering and actively protecting the delicate Himalayan environment.
