Bengaluru: A 40-year-old man allegedly strangled his two young daughters to death inside a Bengaluru hotel room before attempting to end his own life, local police confirmed on Monday. The accused, a resident of Nagawara in Bengaluru North, allegedly killed his daughters, aged five and 10, at the Taj Hotel located in North East Bengaluru.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East Bengaluru) G. K. Mithun Kumar stated that the police were alerted by the hotel’s security manager regarding the suspected deaths. Upon reaching the scene, authorities found the children deceased and the father in critical condition following a suicide attempt. Hotel security subsequently transported the man to Manipal Hospital, where medical staff reported that he is currently out of danger.
Investigating officers recovered a suicide note from the room, which indicated severe domestic turmoil and marital disputes as the primary motive behind the crime. A case of murder has been officially registered, and police are continuing their investigation to establish the full sequence of events. In a separate domestic violence incident reported from Delhi’s Mansarovar Park, local police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his 38-year-old wife and 15-year-old daughter following a quarrel.
