Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Monday dismissed the bail petition filed by suspended Deputy Inspector General of Police Harcharan Singh Bhullar. The court pronounced its verdict after previously reserving its order upon completing arguments from both the defense counsel and the prosecution.

The senior police officer, who remains under suspension, had approached the High Court seeking relief and release on bail. However, after evaluating the submissions presented by both sides, the bench declined to grant him relief and dismissed the petition. A detailed copy of the judicial order outlining the grounds for the dismissal is awaited.
