New Delhi: The Ministry of Women and Child Development announced on Friday that the deadline for submitting nominations for the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) 2026 has been extended. Originally set to close on July 31, the nomination window will now remain open until August 15, 2026. The online submission portal, operated via the central National Awards Portal, has been active since April 1 to accept applications from across the nation.
The prestigious annual awards recognize children who have demonstrated exceptional ability and outstanding achievements across six designated categories: Bravery, Social Service, Environment, Sports, Arts & Culture, and Science & Technology. Eligible candidates must be Indian citizens residing in India, aged between five and 18 years as of July 31, 2026. The ministry reaffirmed that all nominations, including self-nominations and recommendations submitted by individual citizens, must be processed exclusively through the official government portal.
